Ashley is a dance educator and Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist interested in meaningful intersections between dance and body based practice. Trained in Brain Compatible Dance Education, Mitzvah Technique & Itcush Method, Continuum Movement and Contemporary Dance her work aims to inspire movement and creativity in daily life. Interested in teaching modalities and best practices she maintains mentorship relationships with senior arts educators. She believes in the importance of ongoing skill sharing, mentorship, feedback and co-teaching. She has been a guest lecturer in Dance Education at University of Calgary and University of Regina and spent nine years as a teaching artist in public schools.
